It was lovely to hear back from Joe.
I am now going to ask if anyone knows the address of Rick Vidal or John D W Clements or is in touch with them. If you are, please give them my email address or local phone number (01473 218202) in order for me to invite them to see our show. It would give us a real buzz to have a real USAF ex-Bentwaters serviceman in the audience!

It's always good to look backon the better times in one's life, and Bentwaters was surely the best time in my military service. Am still in contact with a few of the ole chaps Bill Hester, Wally Mauk, Lancer Hicks, Larry Leblanc Mike Dupree , Steve Strasburge, and Rick Vidal who is still in Ipswich. So is John D W Clements. Does anyone know where Herbert(Herbie) Hoover might be?? James Bennet, Arthur Gainer??

Hi - I have found your site whilst searching for people who were stationed at Bentwaters. My theatre company is performing a play from 1-18 July 2010 in The Hush House, called The Long Way Home, which is written around Bentwaters at various times during its history, from Pagan times to the present. My mission is to find any ex-service personnel who would be interested in paying a visit to Bentwaters and seeing our play (particularly as we are performing on 4th July!). Please contact me if you are interested.

I was stationed at Woodbridge from Nov '66 until Jun '69. I worked in the munitions storage area and was on the alert crew the last year there.
Enjoy your web-site and hope to see it expanded.
Anyone remember P&E night at the NCO Club????

Just came across your website. Very nice. I served at Woodbridge 69 to 72, 381st MMS (Munitions Maintenance Squadron). I live in Stuart Florida. We recently had an airshow where the F4 did a fly by. Still as noisy as ever. It was so nice seeing it in the air. Been almost 40 years since I saw one fly. Take care. Steve

Air Traffic Controller, Bentwaters Tower 03/74-06/77 would like to hear from any other ATC's from that time. Just got back from 2 weeks in that area and got into the Tower for a visit, nothing left but space.

I was at Bentwaters from Sept 69 until Nov 72. I was a crew chief with the 91st TFS and worked on F4s. I have a lot of great memories of my years there and of the many fine people with whom I had the pleasure of working. I would love to hear from anyone who may remember me from such a long time ago.
